Applying Kaizen for Improving Productivity in Automotive Software Projects

Abstract

Automotive software industry today is living in an increasingly tougher competitive climate where there is no room for inefficiency. Reducing time to market with improved quality and productivity supported by an efficient process is the need of the hour. To reduce inefficiencies and eliminate waste is a constant challenge faced by the suppliers. Therefore in Automotive software industry any innovative way of streamlining the supply chain which constitutes the OEM, Tier-1and their suppliers is critical for time to market. In this paper we present the actual case study of application of Kaizen in an automotive software project and how it helped improve defect fix productivity.
