Abstract

Cooperative communication can send and receive message with virtual MIMO antenna arrays stemming from sharing other users antenna in the network, leading to reducing energy consumption. Cooperative routing is a cross layer routing by using the technology of Cooperative communication in physical layer and routing selection in network layer. For the purpose of maximizing the network lifetime, this paper proposes a weighted power allocation with cooperative transmission by considering various elements, including initial energy of nodes, residual energy, transmission overhead, and designs a cooperative routing algorithm for maximizing network lifetime (MNLCR) which is based on that weighted power allocation. The simulation results show that MNLCR can extend 25% of the network lifetime compared with FACR. abstract environment.
