Abstract
Recently, large-scale computer system including software and hardware becomes complicated more and more. Software is not only application software but also middleware like database, web server, and file server. Software and hardware are deeply influences each other. Relationship between software and infrastructure influences the whole system quality. Therefore, we propose Process independency. Process independency presents strength of relationship between software development process and infrastructure construction process. Process independency was applied to two practical projects. As a result, we confirmed that process independency may be related with software faults caused by infrastructure problems.
