Part of the book series: Lecture Notes in Computer Science ((LNAI,volume 8041))

Abstract

This paper mainly analyzes the current research on supernetwork in China and overseas. Methods of knowledge mapping, including bibliometric analysis, cluster analysis, strategic diagram analysis, co-word network analysis, etc, are used in this paper to demonstrate the knowledge structure of supernetwork and the research tendency via SPSS19.0, Ucinet 6 and NetDraw software. The findings show that researches on supernetwork focus on four knowledge clusters: (1) network equilibrium and optimization based on variational inequality, (2) supernetwork model and its application based on hypergraph, (3) knowledge management based on supernetwork, and (4) other applications of supernetwork scattered in different fields. Furthermore, the research maturity degree of each knowledge cluster and their relationships are also analyzed by utilizing the strategic diagrams and co-word analysis. And on basis of above analysis, the concept of supernetwork is redefined, which seems more accurate and clear to discride the main knowledge clusters of supernetwork research.
