Abstract
A novel application of the Sarrus mechanism is proposed in this paper and is used as a moving mechanism. It can roll along a regular path by take advantage of its singular configuration. Mobility, rolling locomotion, rolling path and simulation analyses are performed respectively, and a prototype is developed to verify the feasibility of the proposed concept.
