Abstract

In this paper the attempt is made to show the power and the limits of Time Petri Nets when modelling the interprocessor communication in distributed systems. The presentation is guided by the example of the communication between the local operating system instances of the experimental fault tolerant multi micro computer system ATTEMPTO.
