Zusammenfassung
Heutige Ansätze der optischen Mess- und Prüftechnik sind dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass für den Einzelfall spezialisierte Prüfeinrichtungen mit festen Prüfprogrammen verwendet werden. Eine Anpassung an unterschiedliche Aufnahmebedingungen (z.B. Beleuchtung) oder neue Aufgabenstellungen ist nur mit hohem Aufwand durchführbar und wird meist mit wenig befriedigenden „trial and error“-Methoden realisiert.
Im Sonderforschungsbereich (SFB) 514 „Aktive Exploration“ wird ein multisensorielles Messsystem entwickelt, das in der Lage ist, sich situationsorientiert intern zu wandeln, um sich an die gestellte Prüfaufgabe anzupassen. Diese strukturelle Änderungsfähigkeit bezeichnen wir als aktive Exploration. Wesentliches Hilfsmittel zur praktischen Umsetzung der explorativen Vorgehensweise ist das von uns entwickelte Multiagentensystem. Es trägt zur Beherrschung der Komplexität bei, die durch die Vielzahl der vorhandenen Parameter bedingt ist und ermöglicht eine einfache Skalierbarkeit des Systems.
