Zusammenfassung
In diesem Beitrag wird eine Experimentierumgebung vorgestellt, mit der die Erregungsausbreitung im menschlichen Herzen schematisch dargestellt werden kann. Die statistische Untersuchung der Entstehung und des Verlaufs von Vorhofflimmern stehen dabei im Vordergrund. Der Kern der Simulationsumgebung ist ein zellularer Automat, in dem die Mechanismen der Erregungsausbreitung nachgebildet werden. Der zellulare Automat kann flexibel parametrisiert werden. Die Zustände des Automaten werden schritthaltend visualisiert, wobei ein Video fur eine spätere Auswertung erzeugt wird. Die Simulationsumgebung ermöglicht es, durch Veränderung der Ausgangsparameter (Leitungsgeschwindigkeit und Refraktärzeit) eine Analyse der zeitlichen und räumlichen Organisation von VHF sowie deren Zusammenhang mit der klinisch erfaßbaren Frequenz der fibrillatorischen Aktivität durchzuführen.
