Zusammenfassung

In dieser Arbeit stellen wir verschiedene Algorithmen zur selektiven Kompression von medizinischen Bildern vor. Hierbei werden explizit angegebene Regionen im Bild verlustfrei und unwichtigere Regionen verlustbehaftet gespeichert. Wir vergleichen dabei Verfahren, die einerseits auf der JPEG Methode basieren und andererseits mit einer Wavelettransformation arbeiten.
