Zusammenfassung

Im Straßenbau werden Roboter zur Automatisierung von Arbeitsabläufen bisher nur sehr begrenzt eingesetzt. Der Aufwand für den Straßenneubau, die Inspektion und die Wartung von Straßen steigt jedoch immer weiter an, so daß effektive Automatisierungstechniken notwendig werden. Der Einsatz von Robotern ist dabei von großer Bedeutung. Das im Rahmen des Road-Transport-Program der EU geförderte Projekt ART (Automated andRobotics-basedTechniques) analysiert die im Straßenbau eingesetzten Techniken und ermittelt im gesamten Bauprozeß das Potential für Automatisierungsmöglichgkeiten und besonders den Einsatz von Robotern. Auf Grundlage dieser Analyse werden Konzepte für eine neue Generation von Baumaschinen mit hohem Automatisierungsgrad erstellt.
