Zusammenfassung
Firmware ist heute ein integraler Bestandteil fast aller gängigen Datenverarbeitungssysteme. Aber auch auf Spezialgebieten — wie der Prozeßsteuerung — gewinnt sie zunehmend an Bedeutung, Trotzdem herrscht weder Klarheit darüber, was Firmware nun wirklich ist, noch wie man sie entwickelt.
