Zusammenfassung
Die vorliegende Arbeit stellt Meßergebnisse vor, die mit Hilfe eines Firmware-Monitors für den UNIX-Betriebssystemkern unter realen Einsatzbedingungen ermittelt wurden. Die Messungen dienen zur Auffindung von Funktionen für die vertikale Verlagerung aus der Software in die Firmware. Weitere Einsatzmöglichkeiten des Monitors hinsichtlich allgemeiner Betriebssystem-Untersuchungen werden anschließend diskutiert.
