Zusammenfassung

Während einerseits die zentrale Stellung des Gebietes ‘Repräsentation von Wissen’ für die ‘Künstliche Intelligenz’ innerhalb der KI allgemein anerkannt ist, und insofern die KI-Wissensehaftlergemeinschaft Einigkeit zeigt /1/, nehmen Diskussionen über Repräsentationsformalismen häufig den Status von “Glaubenskämpfen” ein; die bekanntesten dieser Kontroversen betreffen die Fragen:

  • prozedurale oder deklarative Repräsentationen? (winograd, 1975)

  • logische oder nicht-logische Repräsentationen? (Hayes, 1977) (Bibel, 1983).
