Referat
Abstract
The relation between competition and business concentration are discussed with regard to the influence of information and communication technologies. The author suggests that disadvantages spezific to size of the larger organizations will be overcome by more efficient work and better streaming of organizational information. This will lead to even more concentration and thrust aside small organizations especially if they produce standardized goods and services. There will be advantages, however, for small firms specializing, if the new medium of videotex is used that is able to reverse their competitive disadvantages to large firms.
