Das Betriebssystem ist eine kompatible Weiterentwicklung von UNIX System III. Die redundanten Hardwareeinheiten sind einzelne Computer, die im Normalbetrieb unterschiedliche Programme ausfuehren. Bei Ausfall eines Computers uebernehmen die uebrigen die Last des ausgefallenen, die Verfuegbarkeit des Gesamtsystems wird nicht beeintraechtigt.
