Zusammenfassung

Speicher sind umso teuerer, jeschneller sie sind. Aus diesem Grund organisiert man den Speicherbereich einer Rechenanlage in mehreren Hierar-chiestufen aus verschieden schnellen Speichern. Die Probleme, die bei der Realisierung der Speicherhierarchie entstehen, können vielfach mit Hilfe von Simulation gelöst werden. Es ist dabei eine wesentliche Aufgabe, die Abstraktions-ebene der Speichermodelle sowohl dem Entwicklungsstand als auch den Speicher-ebenen und den jeweiligen Problemen anzupassen.
