Summary
A Simulation model is presented for the standardization, optimization and Interpretation of the maximum insulin Stimulation test. The six-compartment model used is solved analytically. A stepwise estimation and identification of the system Parameters provides a reliable fit of the model to the few test results available. The main point of this work is the model formulation and identif ication. Applications in the clinical diagnostic are discussed.
