Abstract
There are different views on the history or Artificial Intelligence (AI). Some tie the beginning of AI to the year 1842, when Charles Babbage first tinkered with his machines [1]. Others consider the year 1950 when the book Computing Machinery and Intelligence by Allan Turing was published as the debut of AI to the academic community [2].
Dr. Andrew Kusiak is also Coauthor of Chapter 9. His biography and photo appear on p. 135.
