Zusammenfassung

Dieser Beitrag beinhaltet eine kurze Beschreibung von Multi-MediaDokumenten (MMDs) und den sich daraus ergebenden Anforderungen an Kommunikationsstrukturen. Es wird ein erster Ansatz für ein Multi-MediaDocument-Handling-System (MMDHS) vorgestellt, das zur Handhabung von MMDs in einer Breitbandumgebung, beispielsweise ISDN-B mit einer Übertragungsrate von 144 Mbit/s, eingesetzt werden kann. Das vorgestellte MMDHS integriert und vereinigt existierende Dienste, die zu Übertragung, Verteilung, Handhabung, Speicherung und Zugriff auf MMDs zur Verfügung stehen und ist so konzipiert, daß es um zukünftige Dienste erweiterbar ist.
