Summary

The stability of endemic states due to parinfluenza virus type 1-infections is studied by a mathematical model. Taking into account seasonal periodicity in the contact rate, conditions are analysed for biannual incidence patterns, if the duration of infectiosity and immunity lies within a given ‘parameter window’.
