Zusammenfassung
Ein Modell des Gleichgewichtswachstums intestinaler Krypten wird vorgestellt. Es basiert auf einer Überlagerung zweier stochastischer Verzweigungsprozesse, welche die Teilung der epithelialen Stammzellen und die Kryptteilung beschreiben. Parametersätze können identifiziert werden, welche bekannte Daten über Größenverteilungen, Extinktions- und Teilungsraten von Krypten erklären.
Abstract
A Model of the steady state growth of intestinal crypts is presented. It is based on a superposition of two stochastic branching processes which describe division of the epithelial stem cells and crypts. Sets of parameters can be identified which explain measured data on crypt size distribution, extinction and crypt division rates.
