Abstract

OSI Management and Directory standards are gradually becoming stable and are gaining support from a variety of interests. This paper discusses one particular architecture for an administration system based on OSI concepts, the BERKOM Administration Infrastructure. The BERKOM Administration Infrastructure offers administration support to distributed applications in an open services environment in which diverse networking capabilities are being interconnected by a B-ISDN backbone network. In the paper particular emphasis is given to the architecture of the management system.
