Zusammenfassung
Das Controlling hat sich in der Praxis als eine systematische Methode zielorientierter Unternehmensführung bewährt. Infolge der Erweiterung des Unternehmens-Zielsystems um technische Ziele, so v.a. um den Umweltschutz, muß das traditionelle ergebnisorientierte Controlling zum integrierten erweitert werden.
Grundlage und wesentlicher Bestandteil des integrierten Controllings ist die Materialflußanalyse (MFA). Sie erweitert das Grunddatensystem des Controllings und führt eine Reihe (technischer) Kennzahlen ein, die auch den technischen Zielen Rechnung tragen. Sie ermöglicht damit beispielsweise auch auf dem Umweltsektor das Führen durch Kennzahlen.
