Zusammenfassung

Ausgangspunkt der Überlegungen ist ein Verständnis von Informatik als angewandter und somit gesellschaftlich wirksamer Wissenschaft. Es werden die Konturen eines sich hieraus ergebenden. Integrationsfaches „Informatik und Gesellschaft“ skizziert und die Umsetzung dieser Überlegungen in ein Nebenfach-Curriculum „Sozialorientierte Gestaltung von Informationstechniken“ an der TH Darmstadt überblicksartig präsentiert. Erste Erfahrungen sowie einige Problembereiche bei der Etablierung eines solchen quer zu etablierten disziplinaren Hochschulstrukturen liegenden interdisziplinären Ansatzes werden dargestellt und zum Schluß die nächsten Schritte zur Einrichtung des Nebenfach-Curriculums an der TH Darmstadt aufgezeigt.
