Abstract

We present a simple method to encode and process disjunctive information in unification grammars. The approach is based on constraints. We show how to integrate this approach in a bottom-up parser. The use of constraints replaces the copying and sharing of feature structures used by other systems. A simple efficient constraint solver reusing its results is proposed.
