Abstract
In this paper we suggest a new kind of architecture for the retrieval of semantically rich information, like biomedical knowledge, distributed over a geographical network. During our study we have verified that the use of distributed A.I. techniques together with the traditional methods for large information management systems are well suited for obtaining a cooperative and friendly behaviour.
