Zusammenfassung

Teleconferencing umfaßt jede Art von technisch unterstützter, organisierter Kommunikation zwischen mehr als zwei Personen an mehreren Orten. Als Arten des Teleconferencing werden angesehen:

  • akustische Kommunikation Technisches Mittel: Telephon (“Konferenzschaltung”) oder Sprechfunk

  • visuelle und akustische Information Technisches Mittel: Breitbandübertragungsstrecke für Fernsehsignale, verwendet unter Umständen eigene Fernsehsatelliten

  • digitale Information (Text, Graphik, …) Technische Mittel: Computer-Netzwerk mit Ein-/Ausgabegeräten. Zwischenspeicherung der Information im Computer.
