Zusammenfassung

Seit 1989 wird innerhalb des Standardsisierungsgremiums ISO/IEC JTC1/SC24/WG1 der “Image Processing and Interchange Standards (IPI)” entwickelt. Anfang 1991 wurde mit der Zustimmung zum New Work Item Proposal (NP) [9] innerhalb des JTC1 das Imaging-Vorhaben nach den Richtlinen der ISO offiziell dem SC24 zugeteilt. Zur Einordnung des “Imaging” in die nationale und internationale Standardisierung sowie weiteren Informationen zur Normungsarbeit siehe [1].
