Abstract

Cloud computing platforms, such as Amazon EC2, provide organizations or enterprises with flexible resources at low cost. Indeed, this technology is currently taking us into a new era in terms of the remote off-site handling our data. However, while existing offerings are useful for providing basic computation and storage resources, they fail to provide the security that most of customers would like. In this work, we identify two challenges for public cloud computing, and we argue that more comprehensive controls over public cloud computing services need to be provided for users. Towards this goal, this paper proposes a secure and flexible architecture, called SFAPCC, to address these challenges. Security analysis shows that our architecture realize logical isolation for different tenants, and improve flexibility for public cloud.
