Abstract
Pre-service teachers take courses in the university in order to become good teachers in the near future. However, during the training period, the pre-service teachers learn about the teaching theories and skills from the instructors but lack of the field teaching. Therefore, this study forms a collaborative learning community for pre-service teachers to learn from the secondary school teachers’ experiences. Through this collaborative learning community, the pre-service teachers work with their instructors and with the secondary school teachers while they are taking courses in the university. The purpose of this study is to investigate how the collaborative learning community works. In other words, what kind of activities would fit for the collaborative learning community and what the roles would the members paly in the group? Of course, what the benefits for the participants is concerned. That is, how does the professional development for each kind of participants? The results indicated that each of different kind of participants did the different work together and had growth in the collaborative learning community.
