Abstract
In the recent years, Grid Computing (GC) has made big steps in development, contributing to solve practical problems which need large store capacity and computing performance. This paper introduces an approach to integrate the security mechanisms, Grid Security Infrastructure (GSI) of the open source Globus Toolkit 4.0.6 (GT4) into an application for storing, format converting and playing online media files, based on the GC.
