Abstract

It is necessary to set a clear goal and structure of invention education based on the theoretical backgrounds, and revitalize the subject at school to stimulate innovative, creative minds of the students. Some of the viable measures would be to organize invention competitions to motivate related training at school, and develop new instruction methods.

Given this circumstance, this study applies Rube Goldberg’s Invention to explore how to connect school curricula with invention activities and education, establish a theoretical structure of invention education, and seek measures to accommodate these in school curricula.

This work was supported by the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science & Creativity(KOFAC) grant funded by the Korean Government(MEST).
