Digital Mammography

Abstract

It is known that the prognosis of breast cancer is related to the stage of the disease when treated, implying that earlier diagnosis means a better prognosis. It is also known that mammography has the potential to detect breast cancer in a non-palpable and sometimes even non-invasive stage. This is the basis for mammographic screening programs.
