Abstract
E-mail management applications are among the most used tools for collaborative work in enterprises. However, traditional e-mail management applications lack adequate support to deal with reusing e-mail and e-mail associated resources (attached files, schedule, etc.) management for collaborative work. In our previous study, we developed a task context-aware e-mail platform that helps users send e-mails quickly and efficiently. This platform is based on an ontology-based task context model, that represents the conceptual associations between a task and the task related e-mail process. This study proposes enabling group awareness to facilitate effective collaboration using our system and validates its usefulness.
