Effect: Business Environment Factors on Business Strategy and Business Performance

Abstract

A survey was conducted among business owners and employees, and collected data were analyzed using SPSS 22.0 and Smart PLS 2.0 statistical packages. The results of this empirical study can be summarized as follows. First, business environment affected the prospector strategy, but only partially influenced the defender strategy. Competition intensity and government support policy affected the defender strategy, but technology intensity and financial support did not. Second, business strategy affected business performance.
