Abstract

One of the main figures of merit for quantification of microchannels is mixing index (MI). The main challenge is to calculate the MI in real time, which is needed for improvising the performance of microfluidic system. In this contrast, present work is demonstrated the real time MI calculation using open source computer vision (OpenV) image processing tool. The MI application (MI-App) is developed by using Qt software which provide simple and easy platform to the end user. All open source software is handled through the Raspberry Pi which makes our system low cost and portable. The approach present in this work will helpful in various bio-medical applications.
