Abstract

In this paper, the effects of correlated fading channels in full-duplex cooperative systems are discussed. Due to the diversity of actual channel environments, the correlations between different channels need to be considered specifically. We first present the state of art research on the channel correlations in cooperative systems. Then, the transmission performance of a typical full-duplex relaying network is analyzed in detail. The system adopts opportunistic relay selection scheme to find the global optimal relay for two-hop communication. The assumption that the correlations between channels are approximately equal is adopted. The closed-form expression of transmission outage probability is analytically derived, which can be described by the correlation coefficients among source-relay links and the relay-destination links. Finally, numerical simulations are performed to verify the derived analytical expressions and the influences of the channel correlations under different transmission conditions are discussed.
