Abstract
In Dhaka city, most of the household water is distributed by Dhaka WASA. This water is being tasted and ensured quality by WASA in different ways. But when the water come into consumer water tank, it is difficult for WASA to make sure the quality of water is remained same. The consumer normally uses the old method when it comes to the cleaning of household water tank. In this paper, a water quality monitoring and contamination detection system has been proposed. The system will monitor the elements and contamination level of the water using wireless sensor networks, compare with threshold values, make decision of the quality level of the water, and finally send a message to the consumer mobile app.
