Abstract
In this study, we investigated the influence of communication technology and the influence of communication devices on people’s intention of using urban parks. Urban parks are public open spaces necessary for a sustainable society because they alleviate the problems caused by urbanization all over the world. People use communication devices to transmit their experiences in urban parks. Efficient management must know how people use urban parks and what concepts they have. On the other hand, the development of communication technology has dramatically changed people’s lives. Examining the impact of communication technology on people’s intention information is essential to know people’s behavior and emotions. It helps to manage urban parks efficiently. The analysis compared 2004, 2008, and 2014 data. The content of the posts did not change over time, but there was a difference depending on the device used. Posts from personal computers have many topics related to tourism, and posts from smartphones have many personal opinions such as childcare and family. The portability of communication devices made a difference in intention information. It is essential to know the influence of the device used to know people’s behavior and emotions.
