Abstract

As the development of new engineering, the integration of the computer technology with other disciplines brings the challenge to the basic college computer course. However, the limited class hours in the university makes it much more difficult to realize the computational thinking ability cultivation. So it is important to design the highly integrated and connotative college computer courses based on the limited class hours, meeting the requirements of the computer technology and the information quantity for the new engineering. This paper introduces the blending teaching method for integrated college computer course based on MOOCs. With the help of multiple high-quality MOOC resources, SPOC is constructed to deeply explore the mode of online and offline mixed teaching practice and the teaching method of flipped classroom, which is useful for the talent cultivation of new engineering. At last, a blended teaching reform and practice based on MOOCs is carried out in the course “Computer Science and Programming (C)” and some evaluation statistical analysis are conducted.
