Abstract

On the basis of analyzing the current existing problems in the experimental teaching of computer principles course, Logisim virtual simulation software is introduced to reform the experimental system. Four experimental projects have been designed in the simulation environment Logisim, including data coding experiment, the experiment on the arithmetic unit composition, memory composition experiment, and MIPS processor design experiment. We have also introduced ITC platform to achieve the openness and sharing of the experiments. It is convenient for students to spend more time after class to fully digest the content of this experiment according to their own situation. Moreover, the extracurricular big project homework based on the simulation environment has been set up reasonably. Through the practice of experimental teaching reform, it is proved that it has a good effect on training students’ system ability.
