Abstract

A metaverse is a new form of the Internet in the future that integrates many new technologies. According to some practical applications of metaverse-related technologies in education, we innovate a new English education model- “meta-course.“ The Meta-course is a model that can diversify teaching, provide digital services, and meet individual needs through feedback and assessment in the form of nodes. It is divided into three parts: preparation before class, course of teaching, and feedback after class. Compared to traditional education methods, meta-course integrates immersive learning, personalized design, and intelligent feedback after class to solve the current problems of single-mode English education, lack of practice, and low efficiency.
