Manipulation of multivalued images in image algebra

Abstract

The operations between multivalued images defined hitherto in image algebra select the same stratum of each image. This paper defines a new operation that allows values from different strata of the two images to be combined. This operation is particularly useful for two-valued images, when the two values are the real and imaginary parts of a complex image.
