Betrieblich-autonome Investitionsplanung bei degressiver Nachfrageentwicklung und potentiellen Größenersparnissen

Zusammenfassung

Dieser Aufsatz stellt ein Investitionsplanungsmodell für autonome Betriebe vor. Im dynamischen Modell wird angenommen, daß eine einzige Produktionseinheit die degressiv wachsende Nachfrage zu befriedigen hat. Import in den bedienten Markt ist nicht vorgesehen, und sämtliche Nachfrage muß durch interne Produktion befriedigt werden. Die Diskontrate und die Investitionskostenfunktion verbleiben stationär über die Zeit, die Lebensdauer des Betriebs ist unendlich und der Zeithorizont ist unendlich. Mit diesen Annahmen wurde bewiesen, daß die optimale Politik darin besteht, die Kapazität des Betriebs entweder in unendlich vielen Zeitpunkten und konstanten Zeitintervallen oder nur einmal zu Beginn des Zeithorizonts zu erweitern. Die optimale Investitionspolitik hängt nicht vom Zustand der Nachfrage und der Kapazität zu Beginn des Zeithorizonts ab. Eine komparativ-statische Analyse zeigt die Länge der Zeitintervalle zwischen deren die Investitionen getätigt werden in Abhängigkeit von der Diskontrate, der Nachfragewachstumsrate und dem Ausmaß an Größenersparnissen.

Summary

This paper is concerned with planning investments in autonomous manufacturing facilities. In a dynamic model, it is assumed that a single producing unit is to serve a demand which follows a concave function over time. There are to be no imports into the market area served, and all demand is to be satisfied by internal production. The discount rate and the investment cost function remain stationary over time, the plant life is infinite, and the horizon is infinite. With these assumptions, it has been proved that the optimal policy consists of widening plant capacity either an infinite number of times in constant time intervals or only once at the beginning of the time horizon. The optimal investment policy does not depend on the state of demand and capacity level at the beginning of the time horizon. A comparative-static analysis shows the length of intervals of time between the investment takes place, in dependence of the discount rate, demand growth rate, and the extent of economies of scale.
