Abstract

A new collocation method is presented which is able to calculate numerically the vibrations of clamped plates with no external load. The method works in Cartesian coordinates and allows to investigate plates with boundaries given byF(x, y)=0. FORTRAN andMathematica codes are available. It does not use polynomials or splines, but analytic solutions.
