Zusammenfassung
Seit rund 15 Jahren bezeichnet „Online Analytical Processing“ einen Ansatz der Datenanalyse mittels spezieller Informationssysteme. Die Darstellung erfolgt dabei meist über sogenannte Datenwürfel. Im Mai dieses Jahres wurde im Internet die „Wissensmaschine“ Wolfram∣Alpha veröffentlicht, die ganz andere Wege geht und eigentlich nicht für den betrieblichen Einsatz gedacht ist — das zugrunde liegende Konzept könnte allerdings sehr wohl von Interesse für die Business Intelligence sein.
