Abstract
This paper discusses some issues and problems in knowledge representation(KR) in systems employing blackboard problem solving paradigm. In particular it focusses on concurrency and consistancy in the context of distributing the blackboard in a multicomputer environment required for event recognition and recording. The paper describes how DKRL — A Distributed Knowledge Representation Language developed for DISPROS — a Distributed Blackboard Architecture, handles these issues.
