Abstract

This paper deals with the Esprit Project named ESCORT, within the High Performance Computing (HPC) area. The paper starts with an introduction to the project and the objectives. Following, the technical context of work and the justification of the project are commented. After that, a brief description of the project is given. Within the description, the development approach, functional analysis, product tree, physical architecture and the demonstrator to be built are all commented. Finally, the benefits of the project, including economic and social impacts are shown.
