Abstract

This paper deals with the algebraic specification of Scott's domains. Starting from a specification characterizing the bounded complete θ-algebraic cpo's the definition of a cpo representing this class of domains is developed. The standard domain constructions can be represented as continuous functions on this cpo using the method of algebraic specification. As an example a specification of the function domain construction is given.
