Abstract

We present some experiences and results on parallel linear algebra algorithms on distributed memory platforms, based on the IBM RISC System/6000 workstations; we shall refer both to homogeneous workstation clusters and to the IBM 9076 SP parallel machines. We describe our approach in developing an experimental linear algebra library for these environments.
